エクセル：読み取り専用で開く

なぜか仕様書が Excel で作られている。それはいい。でも、「読み取り専用」で開きたい。

いままで、Excel を起動して、ファイルメニューから「読み取り専用で開く」を実行していたんだけど、Explorer のコンテキストメニューに表示できたら便利なのになぁ。

と言うわけで、フォルダオプションから調べてみると、ちゃんと「読み取り専用で開く」という verb（アクション）がある（Office 2003）。なのに、なぜ表示されないの？

他の、表示されているものとの違いは．．．ニーモニックのあるなし？試しに追加。出てきた。これだけかよorz

一応、アクションの中身。
アクションを実行するアプリケーション…EXCEL.EXE /h /e %1
DDE メッセージ…[open("%1",,,,,,,,,,,,,,1,,1)]
アプリケーション…Excel
トピック…system

{shift} で開くと。。。

あと別 process で起動するのでめっさ不便ですよ。

Automation 使った VBS でも作って context menu に追加したほうがはるかにましです。

ツール→ユーザー設定→コマンドタブ
→分類ファイル→読み取り専用の設定/解除
があるので、これをツールバーに追加する
といいですよ。

　うん、目的を書くのを忘れてました。忘れていたというか、消してしまったようです。
　こちらが参照しているときに、本来編集するべき人が編集できないようになることを避けることが目的です。で、やじゅさんの方法だと・・・おお！！！編集できるんだ！！

Control Panel なんかは重宝しますよ。
Administrators の member 常用していないと。

ニーモニック付けたり Shift キー押したりして [読み取り専用で開く] を表示させてみましたが… なぜか実際は読み取り専用では開かないです。（Excel 2003, 2007）

Hataさん、ごめんなさい!!現象は確認しています。
DDE に記載されている、Open の引数が間違っていると思われるのですが、まだ確認していません。ごめんなさい!!

とりあえずExcel 2003で試したところ、読み取り専用で開きました。

バグでしょうかね。だとしたら放置期間長いなあ。

私の場合はViewerを別途インストールして、レジストリを変更して
「開く」をViewerで、「編集」がなければ追加するなどして本体で
開くようにしてます。

こうするとまず見たいだけの時にViewerが軽いので起動が早い。
大概は見るだけの事の方が多いので単にダブルクリックやEnterで済
みますし、編集が必要なときに間違ってViewerで開いたとしても、
右クリックして編集で開き直す方が性に合っているというのもあります。

あと他人のドキュメントを見ながら自分で何かを書くときに別ウインドウ
なので広いデスクトップやマルチディスプレイな環境だと快適です。

なるほど。Viewer で開いて…ですか。確かに、HTML や PDF など、「見るだけ」なファイルも多く、その方がいいかもしれない。

ふと気になったのですが、Office Update などでアップデートしたとき、変更した設定が元に戻されることとかないですか？
いえ、私は ATOK を使っているのですが、アップデートごとに MS-IME に戻されるので．．．
