　初音ミクの画像検索に定評がある（？）Live Search。Live Search APIを使ってVB.NETで初音ミクの画像をゲットしてみたいと思う。

準備１利用規約

　Liveサービスを利用するために利用規約を確認しないといけません。

Windows Live Developer Center（日本語）のリンクにある
Windows Live Dev - Terms of Use（英語）のLive全般の利用規約と
Search API TOU Overview（英語）とSearch API TOU（英語）

があります。OverviewはSearch API TOUに含まれているので必要ありませんが参考までに。検索していたらwipse : Live API部会ブログというところに一部ですが日本語訳がありましたので読む際に参考になるかもしれません。

準備２ Application IDの取得

　Live Search APIを使用するためにApplication IDを取得します。Developer CenterのGet an AppIDから取得できます。これ書いてる時点ではここ数日障害がでているぽくて取得できませんが……。ここでも利用規約が出てきます。

プロジェクトの作成と設定

　今回はVisual Studio 2005を使用しています。まず、VB.NETのWindowsアプリケーションプロジェクトを新規作成します（ここではプロジェクト名をLiveSearchSampleにしています）。そして、ソリューションエクスプローラのプロジェクト名を右クリックなどしてWeb参照の追加を選択します。

表示されたWeb参照の追加ウィンドウのURL欄に「http://soap.search.msn.com/webservices.asmx?wsdl」と入力し移動ボタンを押すと１個のサービスが見つかるはずです。参照の追加ボタンを押して追加完了です。

　Live Search APIは、どのような機能があるかをXML形式のWSDLという仕様で提供されています。また、利用にはSOAPという通信規約を使います。参照の追加でアプリケーションの名前空間の下にデフォルトではcom.msn.search.soapという名前空間のクラスが自動生成されており、このクラスを使用することで以上の規約を意識することなくAPIを使えます。

UIの作成

　作るプログラムは、Form上のボタンを押したら初音ミクで検索して１番目の結果画像をPictureBoxに表示ってことにします。というわけでFormにButtonとPictureBoxを追加しましょう。コントロール名はデフォルトのままでButton1とPictureBox1です。
