大好きです。＞小さいテーブル。
・制約が掛けれる
・プログラム側での範囲チェック不要
・サーバキャッシュを無駄に圧迫しない
等のメリットがあるのでがんがんやります。
逆にまとめた場合ってぜんぜんメリット無いんですよね

小さいテーブルを作りますね。
OOPでは小さいクラスとかも、がしがし作ります。

面倒臭がってなんでも入るようなモノってのを作ると
後になってもっと面倒なことになるのが世の常ですから。

まとめた時は表領域がどうのーってメリットを風のうわさで聞いた気がします。あんまり詳しくありません、すみません。
ちなみに私も小さいテーブル作ります。
用途の違うコードなどを一つにまとめてしまうと、どうしてもコーディング時に文字列の入り込む余地が増えるのが好きじゃないです。

まとめた場合って、後から
「あ、こういうの追加したいけど
適当なフィールドがないや」
ってことが、あったりしました。

数値を入れたいのに、文字型のフィールド
しかないとか。いちいちパースせんと
あかんとか...

当然です。
データベースの正規化をさぼるとろくなことがありません。

同じ形式でテーブル数増やすのは無駄とか正規化をすると遅くなるとかの意見には耳を貸さないのが一番です。

小さいテーブルが山ほどあるのもスキではないですが、変にまとめられたときほど怒りは込み上げて来ません＾＾；

よく貸してしまいます・・・

はるか昔の話ですが
ファイル項目名が「項目１」・・「項目５０」になって
いて「拡張性を考えて何でもはいるように設計した」
とか自慢した某メーカーＳＥがいました。

論理的に同じか違うかで別々にしますね。
小さいテーブルでも意味があればどんどん作ります。
